TRASMIN launches new social intervention program (IFBI).

Travellers Sensitization and Mediation initiative had on the 28th March launched a social intervention program called Ibom food bank Initiative (IFBI). IFBI was inspired by the total lockdown of Covid-19 in AkwaIbom State.

In the words of the CEO of TRASMIN, IFBI the social intervention programme of TRASMIN was critical in supporting families who must have lost their daily means of livelihood as a result of the pandemic induced lockdown, with basic food items and needs in order to ensure their compliance to the stay home order of Akwaibom state government.

TRASMIN solicited for public donations of non-perishable food items and cash from well to do and well meaning AkwaIbomites within the State, country and in diaspora. Cash donations were employed in purchasing and distributing relieve materials to the most vulnerable in AkwaIbom State, to help cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic.
