“HALF A LOAF IS BETTER THAN NONE”

Who ever authored this quote was a classic mediocre.
A person who in acceptance of his seemingly insurmountable limitations, counted on those words to feel better.
To not feel like a loser, but a winner when actually he failed on his purpose.

Challenge is, not only did he settle for less than he deserved, over the years, his adage has encourage millions to do same.

Truth is;
“If you think that you can, you’re right. If you think that you can’t, you’re right!”

Mindset is everything!

If you believe that you deserve and can have the full loaf, your brain gets to work, fashioning out ideas and techniques you need, to get what you want.
You’ll be ready to patiently go through the process, deal with the hiccups that will be associated with your size of full loaf.
This way, you’re able to see beyond the impossibility, into the actions that you require to acquire.

If you think that it’s okay to settle for less than you deserve, that half a loaf is your limitation and you’re fine with it, your brain relaxes.
So rather than your brain working to create something out of nothing, it begins to see reasons why you should be complacent.

And there goes an average person. Only, these same persons wakes up five(5) years later wondering how far they would have gone had they not settled at the slightest threat, or for some instant gratifications.

I’m never a “half a loaf” kind of girl.
For me, it is all or all.

In fact, I want the bakery, the company that produces the flour, the street that the bakery is located, and what have you?

I want it so bad, I’ll get it so good.
I always do because nothing can deter the firm resolve of a determined mind.

It’s not coming to me cheap, nothing good does.
I will put in the work, to proof that am worthy of it.

So let me reiterate;
Whatever you do, don’t settle for less than you deserve. Keep pushing for the best!

THE MAP LESS ROAD!

I have been down this road many times before.
The road that separates dreams from reality, wishes from goals, and hopes from plan.
The road that many dread to thread and many more give up halfway because, they lack patient, they fear the outcome, they don’t think they are ready, they’d rather wallow and be contented in the intermittent gratifications, than endure the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with building anything tangible from scratch.

Its not an easy road to walk.
Its a lonely road, the extra mile with no traffic, yet, the longest and irksome to destination arrival.

Its a complicated journey because, your spirit sees things you’re not seeing.
Your mind wonders through many places, while physically, you’re fighting many battles that comes your way.

I could be one of those who give up in the face of frustrations, but then I ask myself; what chance have I, if I throw in the towel?
The answer is usually, none.

When my vision, once crystal clear, becomes an optical illusion, when am faced with seemingly insurmountable odds, I close my eyes so tight, causing wrinkles on my eyelids, and I try to recall why I once started, the faces of those who told me I can’t, then i try to choose between achieving my dreams and shining in the light that it will bring, or brokenly looking into the eyes of people who will say; “I told you so.”

So, I pick myself back up after every fall.
I build my faith again, after every fear.
I free myself from the shackles of mistakes I make along the corridors of my dreams.
I inspire my spirit after every doubt.
I become my fan base and cheer leader when everyone is gone and am left alone.
Grand slam after grand slam, I’d rather die trying than quit or settle for less.

In my past trips on this road, when I’ve exhausted all options and hope seems frail, somewhere, somehow, like a ray of light piercing through a tiny hole on the roof and causing darkness to make way for illumination, my dreams come true and soothe the pains of aspiration and make life worth living.

But one thing is certain about this road; there are no laid down principles for easy navigation.
You learn on the job!

No matter how many times you’ve succeeded or failed on it, you’re never competent enough to go through it again without hiccups.

It is the road to stardom.
The road that makes kings, heroes and valiant.
The road to attaining every worthwhile dream!
The road where only your will determines whether you pull through or pull back.

It is the maps less road!

NO SHAME IN WAITING!

To live a frustrating life, measure your success or achievement by your age in comparison to those of others.

To truly enjoy your life, let go of the society’s time frame for things, knowing with all certainty that at all times, anything is possible, if you believe.

Its not about who has what and by what age, its about who’s purposefully living.

Never compare your timing with others.
Different strokes for different folks.
No two biographies read the same.
Be satisfied in the fact that, you keep giving it your best shot and never settle for less.

Never be pressurized into settling for less than you deserve, or doing things you shouldn’t, in an attempt to proof to people that you too, can.

Soon your turn will come and what will be, will be!

Get Back On Track!

You’re going to loose focus.

You’re going to be distracted.

You’re going to loose sight of what’s Paramount.

You’re going to loose hold of your essence.

You need to know that no matter how organized, strict or discipline you are, there will be times when you’ll fall below your standards.

You’ll do things you’ll regret or be ashamed of.
Its OK, its normal.
It is so because, you’re human.

Time and time again, when you loose yourself, rather than wallow in self regret, pity or disappointment, come back to what your heart believes.

No matter how far you’ve strayed or how low you’ve dropped your standards or guards, pick yourself up, make bold to get back on track!

You can’t turn back the hands of time to right a wrong, but you can employ lessons learnt, to create a pleasant future.

Successful people retrace their steps once they realized they’ve lost their way. Unsuccessful people, blame others, dwell in self pity and wait around for someone to clean their mess.

Regardless of what happened or didn’t happen, what you allowed or didn’t allow, what you got involved in or didn’t get involved in, nothing changes the fact that you’re bold, beautiful, decent and blameless. Let no body tell you otherwise.

The shame and regrets you feel are indications that you’re a good person and in this second chance you’ve got, you’re going to do better. So, go right ahead and do better!

Don’t let one mistake ruin your day, image or confidence.
You have the power to get over it, regardless of the magnitude, so use it!

Get up from the dirt of the past, stand boldly and pick your life up from where you left off.
Once you go off course, its your responsibility to GET BACK ON TRACK!

EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY!

Someone smarter than you will be hired for the job Someone you’re prettier than, will win the cute guy’s heart.

Someone you write better than, will be Author of a bestseller.

Someone you sing or dance better than, will have a larger audience than you.

Someone you’re more beautiful than, will win the beauty pageant.
Someone whose skills or talents, yours are better than, will be preferred over you.

Someone with lesser achievements than you, will earn recognitions and promotions.
Some brand that offers less than yours will have a higher patronage.
The team with a poorer formation, will win the game.

When life prefers someone over you, it doesn’t mean you’re disadvantaged or not good enough, it simply means it’s their time to shine.
So, rather than feel relegated and discouraged, be inspired to do much more.

In life, some times you’ll loose not because you failed, but because, time and chance played out.

Someone said; “every disappointment is a blessing in disguise.”
So while you may be sulking over being walked over, you might actually be on your way to something greater, if you’d rather move on positively.

Someone said; “delay is not denial.”
Its probably delayed, not because it won’t be delivered but because, its accumulating and will be delivered big time.

Rather than envy or blackmail some one who is preferred over you, understand that every dog has it’s day, and if you stay on course, your day is inevitable.

So regardless of your audience size, clientele base, patronage, recognition or fame, keep working, grinding, training, dreaming, practicing, writing, impacting and achieving.

Stay ready, so you won’t have to get ready, for every dog has it’s day!

Don’t Give Up!

Once you’ve hit rock bottom, you’re faced with two options; either you bounce to the top, or you stay down. Choose to bounce to the top.

Rather than crash down and stay down like some bunch of debris, like a ball, take advantage of the speed at which you hit the bottom and bounce back atop, only this time, stay up.

The journey to the bottom can be so frustrating and demoralizing, that giving up on yourself and beliefs can be an option, don’t take it!

Every successful and unsuccessful person has been in a hopeless state, the will to rise is what makes the difference. It’s in the moments that you think you can’t, you must realise that you can.

It’s OK to pray that things be different, but if they don’t, DON’T GIVE UP! Even Christ prayed that his cup of agony be taken away, but still, he persevered.

Don’t say; why me? Say; why not me?

You’re not equal, but greater than every challenge life throws you and guess what? The tougher the challenge, the greater the glory when you surpass.

People will deny, disassociate, betray and abandon you, don’t be bothered, Christ was!

Hustle in silence, gnash your teeth, groan, go hungry and clothe less, bear the pains, shame, humiliation, disappointment, frustration, mockery, gossip.

There’s a comeback for every setback, a vindication for every wrong, a new beginning for every disappointment.

Your setback is a setup for a step up, DON’T GIVE UP!

Stay focused, optimistic, relentless, bold, confident.

One day, those who laugh at you will laugh with you.

Those who know your story will be witnesses to the fact that, hard work, persistence, commitment and self-belief, pay.

Those who don’t know your story will call you lucky.

They will envy the glory, with no idea of the story.

You’ll rise up once its time up for your pains so, DON’T GIVE UP!
